Presidents’ Day Survival Gear Sales
The weather swings seem wilder than usual this year, but you can be sure the sales will come regardless. Presidents’ Day has been a big sale day for high-ticket items for a while, usually focusing on mattresses, appliances, and TV closeouts after the Super Bowl.
Lately, these big sale days have bled into other categories that are more closely aligned with survival and prepping. Outdoor gear gets thrown in as winter starts to wind down. Solar panels and power stations will join any sale they can. Firearms, emergency food, and power tools round out the best categories to find prepping deals on Presidents’ Day.
Presidents’ Day lands on Monday, February 16th this year, but the deals have already begun and some (but not all) last through the end of the week. We’ll be updating throughout the weekend as deals sell out and as new deals worth checking out open up.

Firearm Accessories & Ammo Deals
Firearm accessories and ammo all see pretty good sales around Presidents’ Day. Maybe it’s the lull after hunting season closes down at the end of winter. Or, it could be because firearms fall into the ‘big ticket item’ category, like mattresses and appliances that also go on sale this time of year. Either way, Presidents’ Day is a good time to take advantage of sales on gun accessories.

Now, most of these hand and power tools don’t fall under prepping and survival specifically, but the deals are good enough to share anyway. I use tools every day to help review gear with testing and setting up new projects of my own.
