2025 Amazon Prime Day Prepper Deals
There are some big deals on prepping supplies and survival gear slated for this year’s Prime Day. Amazon drags plenty of stores in an all-out ‘sale war’ with Walmart, Target, and others joining the fray. But still, every year, Amazon blows it out of the water with their Prime member exclusive deals- even when it comes to survival and prepping.
Don’t just grab a great TV or Kindle deal- check out the options for your survival kits as well. Amazon puts out about one big sale per quarter now, but Prime Day started it all and is still the biggest discount of the year. It’s the perfect time to complete your survival kits or finish that prepper project you’ve had your eye on.

What is Prime Day?
Prime Day is a manufactured holiday originally created by Amazon to liquidate supply and increase ‘inventory turn’ on certain items. Since then, it has spawned a whole holiday similar to Black Friday where huge deals across all shopping categories are shared. One of the main differences is exclusivity, though. Prime Day deals are only available to those who subscribe to Amazon Prime, but that is over 2/3 of households here in the US.
Most of the time, the specifics of the deals are kept secret until they actually drop, although some affiliates and employees may know what products will be highlighted ahead of time. As affiliates ourselves, we have some insight into what will be going on sale, although we can’t share the specific deal until it happens.
Prime ‘Day’ has evolved into a few days (similar to what Black Friday has done), and some Amazon competitors have stretched their own deals to a week. Amazon’s sale started as one day, grew to two days several years later, and is now four days long for 2025.
Other retailers, like Target and Walmart, jump on the bandwagon and hold deal days of their own in the form of ‘Target Circle Week’ and ‘Walmart+ Week’, etc.
Best Prime Day Deals for Preppers
The categories that the deals are focused on can vary, but the ones that are most applicable to prepping and survival fall into only a few.
Some of the key categories include:
- Sports and Outdoors (for outdoor survival and bushcraft)
- Home & Kitchen (Small appliances for food and pantry prepping)
- Electronics (security, batteries, and power packs)
- Tools and Home Improvement
The biggest deals are almost always in Amazon-branded products or ‘Amazon Basics’. There are a few gems that fall into that category that are worth the wait when it comes to prepper deals on Prime Day.

Gas Masks & CBRN
You don’t usually see these types of niche preparedness and tactical products with big discounts at these events, so this one surprised us. Especially after the rush on them following the start of the Iran-Israel current events.
You can find our top-rated gas masks all on sale for 20%+ off, which is very rarely seen.
- 3M 6800 Industrial Gas Mask – $95 (was $212)
- Mira CM-6M CBRN Gas Mask – $199 (was $248)
Now is the time to stock filters, too, with these types of markdowns:

Not everyone needs gas masks for their preparedness plan, but if you do, now is the perfect time to grab them and stock up on filters.
Early Prime Day Deals
Amazon doesn’t wait until the sale window to get the deals going- they usually start a few weeks early, and this year is no exception. The early deals typically aren’t as steep as the actual sale, and it’s on a lot less gear, but they’re worth checking out.
Some of these early deals are available to everyone as limited-time deals instead of Prime-exclusive deals.
Here are the best early deals I’ve found so far, and I’ll keep them updated leading into Prime Day:

More prepping-specific supplies and survival gear will be coming during the actual sale period, July 8th through 11th.
Prime Day Competitors
As we mentioned earlier, there are plenty of sales going on outside of Amazon, too. Competitors want to get in on the action, beyond some of the July 4th sales that are still running.
Check out the usual categories for prepping and survival deals, and when they go live, I’ll list the few standouts I find, too.
- Walmart Deals – July 8th – 13th – With up to 50% off, Walmart is starting to ramp up its Prime Day competition to be a bit stronger.
- eBay July Sale – July 4th – 11th – eBay went the lazy route and extended their July 4th sale. Use code JULYFINDS for 20% off specific sale items.
- Optics Planet Prime Sale – July 8th – 12th – Use the code PRIME for 13% off site-wide, stacking on existing sales.
- Battlbox Past Prime Sale – They seem sort of mad at Amazon, but they are running 50% off a lot of their past boxes. Use the drop-downs to select between the tier levels. It’s nice to sometimes have control of what you get in your Battlbox.
The Final Word
We hope everyone had an awesome Fourth of July and was able to spend it with family and friends. There are plenty of great Prime Day prepper deals this year, and we hope that by making this list, your shopping will go smoothly so you can get back to enjoying what you love.

Hi Sean,
I’m 75 and just starting to prep. Veggie garden, chickens, hand pump for well water, and home defence so far. I want to have portable solar to run a fridge and a few lights. Do you have recommendations?
Thanks
Kent
Well here is another senior Citizen, I’m 80 years old been prepping for years stocking up on foods and growing garden and fruit trees ! Even chickens ! I live north east Washington state ! My house the only heat is a wood stove ! Everything I read things are going to get bad !
Just checked on two items listed, by using the links you have posted…the Coleman butane stove is listed on Amazon as $30 not $23, and the Grayl Titanium water filter is listed as $199 not $130. I have often found this to be the case when links do not provide the listed prices that reviewers claim
Hi David, prices change throughout the sale as main sellers run out of stock and items default back to secondary sellers with higher prices.
Some of the sales have specific quantities and will show “% claimed”. We’ve updated this morning, but still see the Grayl at $130.
