July 4th Survival Gear Sales
Independence Day sales are typically known for deals on grills, lawn equipment, coolers, and ways to stay cool through the summer, and all of those can relate to prepping and survival in some way. After checking out a slew of sales, we’ve rounded up the best gear for preppers to check out to augment their survival kits and preparedness plans.
July 4th lands on a Saturday this year, but sales have already started and run through the weekend for the most part. Like most roundups, we’ll keep updating as sales come and go throughout the period, so check back periodically to catch new deals.

Our latest update adds July 4th survival deals for 2026. July 4th falls on a Saturday this year, so we’ll add the few daily deals leading into it as they go live as well.
Survival Books
America has always been big on books, whether it’s the Bible, the Constitution, or one of the many essays, such as Common Sense by Thomas Paine.
Maybe that’s why it’s not surprising that books on general survival or specific survival topics are on sale.
- Bushcraft 101 Paperback – $9 (was $17) – The best wilderness survival guide to teach the basics.
- SAS Survival Guide – $17 (was $26)
If you prefer to have your books read to you, you’re in luck! Audible is running a 3-month trial for free (even for previous users), and throwing in a $20 Audible credit as well. This lets you get 4+ audiobooks completely free if you cancel right before the end of the trial:
It’s an amazing deal, and probably the best on our list- because not much is better than free. The deal is only available through July 15th, and is only for existing Prime members (or new sign-ups), though.
Firearms, Accessories, & Ammo
It makes sense that out of all the holiday sales, firearms are front and center for the July 4th sales. All of the brands and vendors have been blowing up our email inboxes with sales to ‘let freedom ring’.
A few of the discounts support the hubbub, with some steep sales on a whole range of firearms, accessories, and ammunition.
The best deals are on some classic brands and models:
- Tokarev 12 Ga Bullpup – $199 (was $349)
- Ruger 380 Pistol – $299 (was $329)
- Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 Sport Rifle – $419 (was $549)
- Keltec KSG 12 Ga Bullpup – $629 (was $899)
Ammo is also at some low prices (see more at our Ammo Price Tracker).
Accessories are there too:

The brands with Independence Day deals:

If you need a firearm, America’s birthday just makes sense to find a good deal.
Portable Grills & Stoves
Grills, stoves, and cookouts are always a mainstay of July 4th celebrations. They also come in handy when you need to cook without power or while you are on the move.
- Gas One GS-3400P Propane/Butane Stove – $30 (was $33)
- Lodge Reversible Cast Iron Grill/Griddle – $40 (was $60)
You’ll recognize the Gas One as the top pick from our survival stove review.
Having a backup cooking method is important for emergency preparedness, plus all of these work great at the campsite, too.
Emergency Food
It’s mostly the on-the-go food that is on sale- backpacking meals that can double as emergency meals, either in mobile survival kits or as grab-and-go emergency options in your prepper pantry.
- Augason Farms Freeze-Dried Strawberries #10 Can – $18 (was $36)
- Bumble Bee Tuna in Water 24 Cans – $18 (was $23)
- Augason Farms Vegetable Blend #10 Can – $18 (was $23)
- ReadyWise 120-Serving Emergency Food Bucket – $88 (was $98)
Mountain House, which has the best-tasting emergency food, is having the Mountain House Summer Sale with 25% off sitewide from July 1-16.
If you make your own food storage stash, Wallaby’s 4th of July Sale has 15% off mylar bags and bundles. They are our top pick in our recent review of the best mylar bags.
Medical & First Aid
Medical supplies are always useful for preppers, and first aid gear is essential for almost every type of survival kit. Picking up medical gear on sale can help you stretch your dollar, either saving money or being more prepared for a wider range of medical issues.
- Bactine Liquid Bandage – $6 (was $7)
- Band-Aid Skin-Flex 60-Pack – $7 (was $12)
- Boncare Oral Digital Thermometer – $8 (was $10)
- General Medi Mini First Aid Kit – $9 (was $14)
MyMedic, known for its great IFAKs, has a MyMedic 4th of July Sale with all kits 20% off- making them a great deal right now.
Lastly, Jase Medical (makers of the best prescription medicine kit) is having a July 4th sale, and sales are always rare for them. Their base kit, the Jase Case, is marked down to $250 ($40 off), the largest markdown we’ve ever seen.
Wilderness Survival Gear
People are getting outdoors for the summer, so there is plenty of gear overlapping with wilderness survival on sale. Wilderness survival targets the fundamental needs we need as humans to survive, often summarized with the Survival Rule of Threes.
Whether you’re using the gear for preparedness or outdoor recreation, using it often is key to getting the most from it and knowing how to use it when you need to survive.
- Emergency Mylar Blanket 9-Pack – $7 (was $10)
- LcFun Arc Lighter – $8 (was $12)
- Waterdrop Gravity Water Filter – $34 (was $40)
- Marmot Trestles 30 Sleeping Bag – $83 (was $120)
Lastly, Eberlestock is having a pretty solid sale with a 20% discount on everything, including the Apprentice, Jacknife, Halftrack, Fade Sling, and Bando Bag: Eberlestock July 4th Sale. Some of the sales even go all the way up to 60% off.
Safety & Security
Safety supplies are also important for your home, and a few are on sale. Fortifying your home and making it safe are high on the prepper priority list, so if you don’t have some of these supplies, it’s a good idea to pick them up while they are cheaper.
- Fire Blanket 2-Pack – $12 (was $17)
- Kiddie Home Fire Extinguisher – $25 (was $37)
- Kiddie Carbon Monoxide Alarm – $43 (was $72)
Some self-defense tools for when you are on the move are also on sale:
- Fightsense Pepper Spray – $7 (was $10)
Defending yourself and your home will always be a priority, so catching supplies on sale is nice even in the middle of summer.
